TSCI Independent Research Program
In an effort to maintain independence between research firms and the Issuers on which they provide research services, TheSmallCapInvestor.com has developed an independent research program designed to the take bias out of research in the small cap sector.
The TSCI Independent Research Program allows Issuers to authorize research firms who participate in TheSmallCapInvestor.com research distribution platform to write research and receive a competitive fee for their services.
Unlike traditional sponsored research programs where the Issuer and the research firm negotiate terms before sponsorship, a relationship that can cause conflicts of interest and one that ignites suspicion by investors, the TSCI Independent Research Program ensures that the Issuer has NO COMMUNICATION with the research firm for any part of the negotiation. An Issuer requests service for a specific length of coverage (i.e.: 12 months) and determines the number of research firms to provide coverage.
TSCI then works to locate the research firms that can meet the needs of the Issuer. Once an agreement has been reached between TSCI and the selected research firms, a quote for services is provided to the Issuer and the Issuer can then choose to start the service or not. All payments go through TSCI. The service offering is able to be customized by the Issuer to include the selected research firms, additional exposure of research material on the TSCI website, sponsorship opportunities and more. In addition to eliminating the conflicts of interest between the Issuer and the research firm, the TSCI Independent Research Program can often be a more cost efficient way to obtain research coverage as we have favorable pricing arrangements with many of our participating research firms.
Investors WANT research. Investors WANT research that is free from the typical conflicts of interest that are common in the small cap sector.
The TSCI Independent Research Program allows Issuers to provide investors what they WANT.
